Looking after your Breasts

The Breast Cancer Foundation of NZ encourages all women to know their breasts and be aware of any changes that are not `normal’ for them using the acronym TLC – touch, look and check your breasts. You can check your breasts regularly when in the shower/bath or getting dressed in front of a mirror. It is common to experience changes in the breast during: the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, lactation, taking the contraceptive pill and menopause - so it is importaant to learn what your normal is, so you can identify any changes.
