and the body clock ticks on ... |
|
Many of our clients come to us in their mid to late thirties realising that the body clock is ticking away and 'time is of the essence' if they want to start a family. This is why Angela first contacted us. She was 35 and she and Peter had been trying to conceive for five months without success. They were worried about that body clock ticking away and got in touch with Mary Walburn our Fertility Educator for the Wellington/Kapiti/Manawatu area.
They had their first consultation with Mary in October and by the following April Sophie was on the way, arriving in December 2008. Here's what Angela had to say when she excitedly e-mailed Mary to announce the great news:
"I did a pregnancy test today and found out I'm pregnant, which is very exciting .... The charting was really useful as my temperature had been up for 17 days so we thought something might be happening.... I have been having acupuncture for the past month to help out with hormones so maybe that was why, or the healthy lifestyle and losing 11kg. But one of the biggest things that helped us was you and teaching us charting and just for being so supportive throughout a very difficult period for us."
If, like Angela and Peter, time is ticking by for you too, you might want to talk to one of our Fertility Educators to find out how we can help you recognise the lifestyle options that could impact on your fertility and to get that all-important timing right to maximise your chances of achieving pregnancy.
